Briar Hill all the rage after good word from Mullins
When Briar Hill ran away with the Champion Bumper 12 months ago he was the name on everyone’s lips for novice hurdles this season. Although he has won all three starts, he has failed to capture the imagination of the betting public.
That has all changed in the wake of some very positive comments from trainer Willie Mullins when discussing his Cheltenham prospects last weekend. Mullins has been down this path before with Florida Pearl and Champagne Fever, both successful in the Champion bumper and in festival novice hurdles the following season.
